‘Appy Days: Mobile Apps Rolled Out ‘To Connect Employees and Employers’
Harnessing the popularity of smartphones with the delivery of internal communication seems to be on almost every organisation’s agenda.
But delivering key messages to your target audience’s mobile devices may feel like a distant dream – particularly with the numerous challenges associated with it.
Will our information be secure? Will it work across different devices? Will our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy hinder a mobile approach?
All are completely valid, logistical issues.

So how does it work? The cloud-based platform integrates with an organisation’s employee database, allowing communications to be delivered to iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
But is it secure? The product website meets this point head on, undoubtedly aware that it will be a common question.
It states: “theEMPLOYEEapp has gone through rigorous security testing by an independent third party security firm. Our platform follows OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) guidelines and uses web security best practices.
“theEMPLOYEEapp platform is hosted on Amazon Web Services to ensure the greatest quality of service and security.”
Other features for the platform include the ability to live stream events, no limits on document hosting, an analytics package to measure usage and restricting sensitive content for selected members of the audience.
Jeff added: “Since more and more employees are on the road, are permitted to work remotely and are not tied to a desk and desktop computer, they find it very difficult to ensure that important company information is received simultaneously and in a timely fashion.
“Moreover, these professionals are aware that ineffective communications and a disengaged workforce leads to lost revenue.”
