As with all APPrise Mobile products, theEMPLOYEEapp is available for iPhone, iPad and Android mobile devices and can be incorporated into a bring your own device (BYOD) program. Access to theEMPLOYEEapp is completely controlled by the company, which can add or remove employees from accessing the app at any time.


Why do I need theEMPLOYEEapp?

Today, an organization’s employees are no longer tied to their desk, let alone their desktop computer.  Whether they are on a business trip, in the field, in factories, or on the road, the only means available to communicate with employees simultaneously and instantaneously is via the one thing they all have in common — a mobile device.

Employee engagement and communications is increasingly becoming more difficult given the global nature of business.  In a recent survey conducted by Fortune Magazine, 84% of “non-desk” workers at U.S. companies with more than 1,000 employees said they don’t get enough information from management, and 75% said their employers aren’t telling them enough about changes in policies and goals.  Almost the same number (74%) said “consistent” messages from senior management are important to them. However, according to the Fortune survey, 83% of those surveyed are not on their companies’ email systems.

What is the process for setting up theEMPLOYEEapp?

Unlike most corporate intranets and other social collaboration platforms, theEMPLOYEEapp is independent of an organization’s network and requires no systems integration.  All the company needs to provide is a logo and banner image.  theEMPLOYEEapp provides the company with a simple and intuitive content management system (CMS) through which a database of employees and content is added.

A company’s employee database or active directory is simply uploaded into a secure interface in the CMS and is then managed by the company.  Before an employee is able to gain access to the app, the platform authenticates the employee using a unique employee identifier (e.g. email address, employee number, etc.)  If an employee no longer is employed by the company and is removed from the database, they no longer are able to access the app.

Content (multi-media and documents) can simply be uploaded to the app through the CMS.  By simply clicking the “ADD” button, content is instantaneously made available and a push notification/alert is sent to the mobile devices of employees located anywhere in the world.




Q: What if an employee doesn’t have a company specific email address?

As with any app on the App Store or Google Play, employees must have an email address to download the app.  However, an employee need not have a company email address to have access to a company’s employee app.  So long as an employee has a unique identifier assigned to their name within the employee database (e.g. employee number), they will have access to theEMPLOYEEapp.

Q: What if I only want a certain group of employees (i.e. Board of Directors) to see content, but not the rest of my company?

 The Content Management System (CMS) allows each company to set up a “tiered” structure by which they can create different groups of employees and make content only available to specific groups as desired.

Q: Can I analyze how my employees are using theEMPLOYEEapp?

Yes! All of our apps, including theEMPLOYEEapp, are equipped with Google Analytics, and Advanced Analytics tracking individual employee usage is also available.

Q: How secure is theEMPLOYEEapp?

theEMPLOYEEapp has gone through rigorous security testing by an independent third party security firm. Our platform follows OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) guidelines and uses web security best practices. theEMPLOYEEapp platform is hosted on Amazon Web Services to ensure the greatest quality of service and security.
